Nanaimo has a new little take-out deli beside the DNA Skateshop on Fitzwilliam St, at the lowest end of the Old City Quarter. It's simply referred to as the Asian Deli, and it serves up inexpensive yummies and noodles.
They have spring rolls for take out, and they make *different* but very tasty sandwiches. I like the chicken sandwich, which is a medium white sub with good, non-processed chicken, julienned carrots, cucumbers and peanut sauce. At less than four dollars for a sandwich, the price certainly justifies a first visit.
