Workshop by Audrey Grant

Audrey Grant is a world famous bridge author, teacher and cruise ship director. She will be conducting a bridge workshop this Saturday, September 24th between 10 am and 3 pm at the Nanaimo Golf Course.

The workshop is for all “improving” bridge players and was sold out shortly after being announced in May. Participants will receive 2 hours of instruction in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, one of her books and lunch for $95.

Ms. Grant is probably best known for her award winning book series Bridge Basics. In total, she has authored more than 20 books including the original Clubs, Diamonds, Hearts, Spades series published by the American Contract Bridge League, the governing body for competitive bridge in North America, She also founded that organization’s Teacher Accreditation Program and thousands of teachers have been using her methods for over two decades. She is Canadian, and resides in Toronto when she isn’t lecturing or directing bridge cruises worldwide.

On the following Monday she will be conducting a similar workshop in Victoria. We were fortunate to be able to schedule this visit as she is coming from a cruise ship which will dock in Seattle and had then planned to visit family farther north on the island.
