Basic Quality Requirements
Your content must be:
- useful to someone
- original
- accurately tagged
- legal.
It does not have to be well written, spellchecked, or even interesting, as long as it meets the criteria above.
#1: Rule number one: No copyright infringement. If you do not own or have permission to post content in your blog, do not post it. This is with the exception of "fair use" as it applies to online authoring. The best approach, anyway, is to post unique content of your own, which truly speaks to your audience, and shows off the depth of your knowledge as an industry leader in your field.
#2: Rule number two: This section is not for link exchanges: You CAN link out from your blog, but that link should support the post. Also, if you use your Nanaimo Information blog as a platform merely for pointing back to your own site, we will remove offending posts. If your blog post contains very little content and is used only for "justifying a link", you can be certain it's not welcome.
#3: PG 13 - These pages are accessbile to the public, including those under the age of 18. Questionable material will not be tolerated (profane or hateful/bigoted language, nudity, illegal materials etc).
#4: No spamming - Any violation of any search engine's terms of service will cause an automatic suspension of your permissions, and the threat of deletion of all of your hard work.
