Bowen Island real estate has always been supported by its permanent appeal as a laidback Gulf Island only twenty minutes from West Van. Now, the 2010 Olympics are having an effect on the Bowen Island homes market. With property values rising dramatically (the ferry terminal to the island is along the highway between Vancouver and Whistler), Bowen Island homes are in great demand.
