Red circle shows location of College HeightsThis development is perched high above the bustle and bother of the city – and yet it's only an 8-minute drive from downtown. There are spectacular views of the ocean, the coastal mountain ranges, and Vancouver. You can also see half of Nanaimo, usually with crystal clear clarity.
These are large homes, some of them up to 30 years old, and most have huge windows to catch the sunrises. The properties themselves are usually steep, with beautiful rockwork and decks and terraces, giving the neighbourhood a very interesting aspect.
College Heights is just across the Nanaimo Parkway (and up a slope) from Vancouver Island University.
Along bus routes? You have to walk 10-15 minutes, to or from VIU or Jinglepot Rd.
