This fantastic little restaurant is an absolute must for all locals and visitors who would enjoy excellent Mexican cuisine in an open-air dining room that floats beside the dock in the marina. When you're sitting just a meter from the water with your real lime margarita, watching sailboats tie up nearby, you'll recall that Nanaimo has something of the exotic about it.

Penny's Palapa serves up great nachos, with real toppings like beans and fresh cilantro. The halibut tacos are heaven on Earth, as is the ceviche!

We recommend the little restaurant for people walking the waterfront, or for those who would dine out on their office break downtown. It's fully licensed.
