Hi there, Nostradama suggested that I contact you since you're looking for a place to stay. I don't do rentals as part of my job (Realtor) just sales but I don't mind helping newcomers out since I know the town so well and I've been "new in town" in various parts of the world myself. It's kind of hard at first. I always say that the first year is when you figure out where you are, the second year is when you start to make your long term friends and the third year is when you start to feel part of the community.
