Spaz's Magic Shop

Everyone should go into the new magic shop on Fitzwilliam - it's called Spaz's Magic Shop, and I went in hoping to find some cheap trinket like a fake nail-through-the-finger gag. I left impressed as hell, after the proprietor gobsmacked me (thanks for the word, grommet) with a few quick card tricks that I had been trying to watch closely. It's impressive, the way they manage your experience during the trick. So much more than sleight-of-hand!

Told ya it was wicked! I too, was GOBSMACKED (love that word).

I wanted to buy a card-trick DVD for my dad (always the magician)... and so the fellow there showed me a few tricks that he would learn off the DVD... and then improvised a bit to make the tricks his own - I was blown away.

Suddenly my disappearing cigarette trick didn't seem impressive for a second, in fact, when I mentioned it, several of the staff members were like "oh yeah, thats trick #137, nice" hahah

All in all, GREAT staff, interesting tricks, and an experience just to go into the store - Get in there and check it out!

Me and Dave went there for our break today and were blown away. We both left that shop with a little less money in our pockets.

The two guys there were very good. Easy to talk to and made you feel comfortable right away. I'll definitely be going back soon.

Two thumbs way up. The employees are really easy to get along with and the tricks were sweet, plus they teach it to you when you buy it

They have a cool trick light that allows for neat tricks in the dark - it's 30 bux - that sounds like a high-end stocking stuffer, for anyone who's looking.

This is good news. I really missed the great magic shops we had in Woodgrove and Rutherford Mall. I dont know what happened to those...I presume the one in Rutherford closed due to the renovations they're doing?

I'll have to check that out!!

Hey guys, this is Brent, Owner of Spaz's Magic Shop. I really APPRECIATE what was said on here about my store and your expierience in it. Riverrat, Fitz, Nick, and Dave, you guys are great and I hope to see you all come in again. Of course I am there to make money, but the one I thing I want people to understand is you dont have to have money or have to buy something to come in and enjoy the show. Always up for Critiquing. :P Our Street Magic Group is getting Set up for after the Holidays, so watch for us doing what we do downtown and anywhere and everywhere. We are going to be filming and just having fun so if you guys want to be on tv...come watch. Thanks again guys.

By the way, the other store in Rutherford (sleight of Mind Magic Shop) is Closed for good. However there is talk from one of the old owners of re-opening his own store in town as well, but he doesnt know when he is.

Hey EVery One Spaz's Magic Shop is Re-Opened. It is A bit Smaller now because it has moved locations. The New location is up North now in Nanaimo. If you know where Shar-Kare Pet Foods building is on Wellington Rd. by the Wave Radio Station and The old Canadian Wholesale Club, it is inside the Shar Kare Plaza. There is a New store there also called DealsDealsDeals.ca that is really cool that has really sweet mixture of misc. housewares, bathroom stuff, candles, toys, kitchen spices, wallets, gifts, novelties, nic nacs, pictures, anything and everything. Spaz's Magic Shop is now inside there. If You have any questions email because we are having a Grand opening soon that will be fun for everyone.
