Where was that river photo taken? Definitely not Nanaimo River...
Don, that old trestle picture is so great. Where's that?
And Soup, is that Kennedy Lake?

They are around Horne Lake...
Here is another one, not so blurry...
@Dragon, you´re taking really good pics!
Here is some from me![]()
Has anybody besides me noticed the commercial shot from Little Mountain in Errington? It's an automobile commercial of some type and as soon as I saw the opening scene, I knew where it was shot from. Such a cool view! Dangerous though. We used to party up there untill a couple of people I knew stepped off @ night. Good view-bad scene.
Wow, Bunky, I'm curious about that story! I've felt vertigo while standing on Little Mountain, and I always wonder how anybody could be anything BUT super careful up there. How did it happen? When?
Hi Riverrat.
This accident happened probably about 1982 to 1983 somewhere in that time frame. A bunch of us used to drive up to Little Mountain and sit up there and party sometimes. At night we would shine a spot light from a truck so we could see and then light a fire and just hang out.
I was supposed to go up this particular time but I never made it for whatever reason. The next day I heard that a vehicle had parked up there close to the edge, closer than they realised. They hopped out and well obviously the people getting out on the passenger side stepped right off. I think the two deceased were brother and sister. I'm not sure of this detail. I remember it took a bit of time to locate them. \
I never went back up there at night after that. Whenever I get back over to Parksville I still like to go up there and enjoy that amazing spot in the a.m. hours.
Hey Bunky, thanks for the story. What a thing to happen!
I might as well post a "not in Nanaimo" pic. Here's camping last spring at Raven Creek on Pitt Lake.
