Yeah I remember that weekend. I was a little too young to be downtown then, ( I was 13 and lived out in Cinabar Valley.), but yeah I remember it was the talk of the neighbourhood. The Talley ho got ripped up! A few years later I ended up getting tossed in the clink for few hours on bathtub weekend for walking around downtown with no shoes on. The rookies were a little over zealous.
I also remember going to a couple of 101 knight pig roasts which eventually turned into something much bigger.
Going out to Nanaimo River and lakes was pretty free wheelin back then. Not many people around. Maybe a few nudies!
