A bridge to Wales? I'm confused.
Soup Dragon, is there a reason why you're missing home right now? Is it cuz Nanaimo lacks the people AND the weather right now?

Bristol UK is a city of nearly 400,000 people, it's pretty close to Wales but is a long drive if you don't want to cross the water so there are 2 bridges, the 1st & the 2nd severn crossing (photo is the 2nd).
Bouts of homesickness come & go, I miss the vibrancy of the city but then I drive my daughter to Mal U every day, see some fantastic sunrises & the view from the top of 5th St & wonder what I've got to moan
    about!!
As for the weather................don't get me started I wonder if I can sue immigration for false advertising 'come to BC' they say.........'mildest climate in Canada'......HA!! We've been here just over a year & you guys certainly have 4 distinct seasons!!!!!!!!
At 40+ with 2 teens in tow it was a huge change for us, we're gonna dig our heels in & give it another year then see how we feel ....................the kids love it though.

Can't go into detail but have been on the recieving end of a violent incident at work today so am probably just feeling sorry for myself

Not sure if this is OK, but I´ll post 2 or 3 photos from my actual place. In case this is not wanted, I´ll understand and delete them. No problem!

    Hi riverrat,

a town called Rheda-Wiedenbrueck, somewhere in Westfalia, Germany. The houses on those photos where build in the 14th and 15th century!!
It´s the town where those camping vans "Westfalia" where manufactured. Somebody heard about them? Did sell well in North America some years ago.

    Eric
