March Events, Lots going on!

Hi everyone.

Well March is shaping up to be a exciting and busy month. Kindof strange that it has started snowing again, but it sure was nice to have one more snowball fight before spring, even if I did get a facewash! There is lots to buzz about, I hope to see you at some of these events.

Circus Night
Monday March 5th. 7-8:30pm
Georgia Ave Elementary School
Everyone welcome to drop in. Tools such as hula hoops, poi, stilts, and unicycle provided. Musicians welcome to come and jam. Fun for all ages.
Drop in by donation, never too much or too little.

Jewelry Workshops
Sunday March 4th and 11th, 12 till 2pm
At the House of Indigo, 310 Fitzwilliam St.
Each class is $20 and will teach how to create your own earrings, bracelets, necklaces and more.
Includes supplies and beads to make your own bracelet you get to keep. (bring your own needle nose pliers if you have them, some will be provided)
Contact Willow at 754-1022 or drop in the store to sign up. Size is limited but I could add a second class that day if needed.

House of Indigo @ Vagina Monologues
March 2nd and 3rd, 6:30pm Tonight!
I will have a table set up at the Vagina Monologues happening at Malaspina tonight and tomorrow. Come check out the what I have been creating recently. There will be mad love gloves, hula hoops, earrings, jewelry, and more...... This is a must see event worth getting out into the dusting of snow to see!

Wee Tipple @ The Coast Hotel
March 9th, 5:30-7:30pm
Tickets $35 includes tapas, tippling, music, and fun. Silent auction extra so come prepared!
This is the 5th annual Main fundraiser for the Crimson Coast Dance Society. It is a scotch and beer tasting event, with a fabulous silent auction.
I will be dressed up as the infamous "Rosie" the bar wench selling 50/50 tickets. Too fun!
Proceeds from this event go to support the free workshops and performances that the Crimson puts on during their Infringing Dance Festival.
House of Indigo has donated a crystal and pearl necklace in crimson colors with a copper dragonfly pendant to the silent auction.

Poi Workshops on Quadra Island
March 18th and March 31st
On March 18th from 10am-noon, I will be teaching a poi workshop at the Quadra Island community hall.
Learn balance, several movements and how to flow between them creating dance. As well as some choreography.
There will be a second workshop on March 31(3-5pm tentively) to teach more skills and work on more choreography.
I have also been given the wonderful opportunity of having the class open up with a performance at the Shane Philips show on the 31st of March also at the Quadra Island community hall. So anyone interested in participating is encouraged to take both workshops as we will start choreography for this on the 18th. Each class is $25 for 2 hours, poi are supplied.
