Hello!
I have been visiting this site for the past few months, looking at all the great pictures and reading your interesting topics. Originally from Saskatchewan, I currently live in Kelowna and am looking to move to Nanaimo.
I have always loved the island, but thought that it was too expensive. However, these days, nothing seems to be worse than Kelowna!
I have mentioned to friends and coworkers about moving and they are skeptical. So what better than from the horse's mouth, right?
I find it very hard in Kelowna to meet people my own age group (25-35) who don't want to party hard and live a crazy life. The traffic here is horrible, and I'm just generally scared to walk anywhere alone.
So, please, sell me on Nanaimo!!! All I'm looking for is a slow paced city, to buy a cute character home ($200- $300,000) in a nice area, to start up a little home interior store, and live amonst friendly people who care about their city.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

Sell you on Nanaimo? Uhh... ok.
(Warning: This zone frequented by realtors. i.e. Me.)
Lots of info on that on my website and my blog. See below.
200k-300k is a price range in which you can find a character home. Many will need a little work, but yes, they are out there in that price range. Mostly in the southern half of the town.
