Nanaimo Election Results, 2005

Well, is anybody surprised? Nanaimo's constituency demonstrated a dearth of imagination, yet again. We seem to have voted all of the same people back into office.

I guess everyone was worried that new faces would cease work on the big projects, like downtown? Not an entirely invalid concern, but it sure would've been nice to change things up, even a little bit. I've found there's a big lack of VISION in Nanaimo's administration. Not to mention at least one of the people voted in has been called down for conflict of interest...

ughh .....Cant say I'm surprised at all but I too was hoping that things and people got shaken up a bit!!...yah Nanaimo admin makes me stir crazy!.....

It worked out good though........... because there was a group that was on the friendsofplanNanaimo that wanted to stop the building of downtown.......

The guy that was third down the list for mayor was one of them..... The next 2 guys after the 8 chosen for the council also were......

I think it worked out the best it could have........... 4 out of the 5 councillors that I chose got elected........

yeah I know........as far as that whole group of "friendsofNanaimo" group went....results were NOT IN THEIR FAVOUR~..........which is a good thing...(I think- anyhow)
