Fantastic photos, Flugel Horn! Mt. Baker sure looks good covered in snow. It was nice to see the sun and blue sky again this past weekend. The mountain ranges looked beautiful. The sun seemed to hit them at the right angle, giving them a 3-dimensional look. You don't always see them that way.
Well you managed to take the perfect picture of the freighters. Timing was perfect, love the way they all have a their own place in that shot. They remind me of Active Pass, August 2, 1970.
Took a few pictures of Mount Benson last weekend with its snow-capped peak. I'll have to invest in better camera as those long shots don't appear as clear as I want them to but I'll put one up.

Some images from my afternoon walk on the waterfront promenade.
DeHavilland Otter.
- Earlier before I took this photo, a different Otter plane aborted a landing while I was watching. I think that was because a speed boat speeding too close to the landing area.

This is an aerial view photo of Duke Point Terminal taken in March of 1997. I obtained the 8X10 photo during my employment with BC Ferries in 1998 and it has been framed and hanging on my wall for about 11 or 12 years now. I scanned the photo and touched up some of the blemishes, hopefully this is an appropriate thread for the picture. The ship tied up in berth 1 is the Queen of Esquimalt. Duke Point Terminal officially opened June 9, 1997.
Following in the Ferries thread, here's a pic of one of the Coastal class ships near Entrance Island, taken from Stephenson Pt.....Interesting how the US peaks almost appear to be bergs floating out in the strait

Awesome photos guys!
2 shots from College Drive, where there is a utility corridor cut in the trees (opposite the water tank reservoirs in that subdivision)

My celebration of the vernal-equinox today involved a last-minute idea of photographing the sunset at Oar Rd beach in Lantzville.
Here's what I saw:
A look at the sunset's effects on the coast mountains.

The bay at Lantzville:
A look at a Winchelsea island and up Georgia Strait.
.....I'll be back to that location for more sunsets, once the cruise-ships are added to the picture.
Your pictures are always magnificent, but I think my all-time favourite is the third from the top in your current edition, the one showing birds in flight with the mountains in the background. That's an absolute masterpiece, Flugel Horn, it really is.![]()
