Overall, it is a nice place usually, but if I ever get that waitress again, I am heading over to Ricky's.
Me and a gf had a waitress in a Kitsilano pub (Malones) a few months ago that was like: Hi...Ugh, I was JUST about to get off and then you guys came in, so my boss is making me serve you...

Luckily I have a really outspoken girlfriend That was probably the last time she ever made a comment like that to paying cutomers...

I know what you mean though, no one likes rude servers - good thing Im such a nice one haha

Yel, I bet you are, I see a lot of nice waitresses around, that really work for their tip, and they surely deserve it.

Default TAPAS, live music and more at TANIA'S DOWNTOWN

Tania's Downtown on Front St. across from the Government building is a good place to take visitors. The food is fresh, tasty and the presentation is great looking. They have live music on their brand new stage from Wed. to Sat., and the room is the most beautifully decorated lounge around. Worth a visit!

Yes! We are huge fans, shame it closes so early (11 on a Friday = nuts)
The cake and martinis are a great way to spend a night on a date!

I use to work at TGIFridays on Robson St as a server/bartender. I was only nice to the hotties, tourists and celebrities. Back then, my thinking was, Robson St is a meat factory, and if you're going to be down there, you better be worth looking at. Shallow, I know. But, tell me I'm wrong.

    Default Favourite Restaurants

My favourites are Gina's for amazingly good and affordable Mexican, Timmy's for coffee and Discovery Room at MalU for truly decadent.

Pirate Chips - the folks who deep-fry the chocolate - also make a terrific vegetarian chili.

Gina's is a sure bet anytime.
Still affordable after all these years with no slide in quality at all.
I can't believe nobody has mentioned Saigon Kitchen or Shanghai City?
Saigon is awesome and has been for a long time.
Shangai City has the best buffet as far as taste, variety and freshness are concerned, also, their take out is excellent too.
