Good places to eat in Nanaimo?

Hey Everyone..

We are constantly looking for good places to eat in town... anyone have any suggestions?

Mine is the Longwood Brewpub... besides their kick a** Russian Imperial Stout... Get the sweet potato fries! They are amazing!

Gina's (not the best service, but amazing food), Cactus Club (hot waitresses!), MGM (open 24/7).

Hmm, it depends on what you like. For chinese food, the take out place near Wakesiah and 5th? (near the college).

General Restaurant. The ABC Country restaurant on the South end of town (in the lobby of the Hotel) I like it much better than the north end one. Not classy, but the food is good, and so is the service.

Armani's Downtown, small but kick ass burgers.

Kelsey's is hit and miss, but USUALLY good.

I've eaten at Armani's before.. and you're right about that place. Awesome. That chinese take out place is good too. I'll have to try ABC.

Ooh yeah I love Armani's. I've only been there once; Pat insisted I try it, and it was awesome. I should really go again sometime.

I'd never heard of Beefeaters until a few weeks ago; my friend said it was a fancy, expensive restaurant. Where abouts is it?

Beefeaters is by the Departure Bay ferry terminal. The food is definitely great. The owner is very rude by Canadian standards. He conforms to the stereotypes about Mediterranean men. I used to have to deal with him all the time.
