Seems to me that a very well researched posting is on the Korpan laid back approach conversation that Pirate Chips should print and give to their lawyer.
It discovers a connection between funds received by Korpan and a land deal in Lantzville that increase the value of a worthless piece of land to $4 million.

Why are the local papers not at least asking questions?
Same reason they didnt cover last Monday's council meeting.
Are tax payers paying for Gary's lawsuit?
i think I am of a mind to take my speech to council and send it to the Ombudsman.
one of the reasons i spoke at council is because the Mayor seems to have one rule for his conduct while he sues other people for doing the same thing.
All the councillors are now aware of Gary's meddling in a private Landlord tenant issue. None of them find anything wrong with that.

The councillors may be aware of Gary's dealings in the issue, but those are still just accussations until proven in court. So the council cannot act on those allegations right now. I would highly doubt that "none of them find anything wrong with that".
Gary's lawsuit is not covered by the city, it is a private issue paid by the individual, that was stated some time ago in a couple newspapers, when the rumor came up it was quickly thwarted.
I am not taking Mr Korpan to court.I am not about suing people for stupid mistakes. I make mistakes every day.
petyness in the Mayor's positition I brought the issue up because it pertains to the Angela issue. He not only wants Angela to apologise for a percieved slander he wants to make her pay.
Angela is a private citizen . The mayor is not. he must not only try to do the right thing, he must be seen to do the right thing.
A mayor must be above pettiness. he gets paid to know better.
He must not use his position to help one of his friends who just happens to have a landlord tenant dispute.
He made a mistake and should at least say that it wont happen again.
i did hear from one of the members of council. This member was appalled.

I do get bored of hearing "this is not proven in a court of law." Very few things are. Even not guilty often means not enough evidence. To me it is evidence that counts, not how some possibly biased party choses to judge it. Bad behavior is bad behavior with or without a cout of law!! I have been privy to a lot of evidence about Mr. Korpans meddling in this particular landlord tennant dispute, and read many of his unfounded accusations. Where is his evidence? Hello captain negrin and welcome!! I hope to see you councilor next election and my condolances on Mr. Korpan throwing one of his unsubstantiated childish fits in the direction af a citizen merely exercising her right to free expression! He has accused others of all kinds of bogusness including who designed it and declared war on something most of us could casually step over. Luck to you.
