From near the Front-Street Pharmacy tower, is the start of a possible (caveat to the Nanaimo delays) new condo tower at what is referred to as the "Global Connections" site.
I don't know how long this hole has been here, but it seemed new to me. I took these photos on Labour Day, when I was busy photographing the faded Texaco Sign next-door to this:
