Default The crane is down... What's the next step??

    Hi Folks,

The crane came down about 3 weeks ago...

Does anyone know what's next in the attempt to get the building occupied?

I was driving by there today and from my vantage point I'd say that the Front St. frontages are definitely retail...At least I know what live/work walk up condo/townhomes look like and that is not them. They definitely had commercial grade doors on them. And I'd doubt that the City of Nanaimo would ever allow such a development to get away within the downtown core with out having retail mixed use. IMO. I looked to get the zoning but my Internet Explorer wasn't working and I can't get onto the Nanaimo CityMap with Mozilla. I guess we'll have to wait and see!!

Anyways get this building occupied already.....heeee hawwwww

I have been waiting to move to Pacifica for two years now.

There have been quite a few alerts that the condos were near completion and that move it dates were soon.

I have been on 'hold' for the past 12 months (now 24 months behind expected date!). Everything seems to be complete for the lower levels, but the city has to give occupancy permission. It may still be two more months or ????.

They were probably hoping some of the early buyers would drop out so they could sell the units for a higher price.

Does anyone know what the units originally sold for in this building? Or how many were presold?
