Great Hairdresser????

I am glad to find this question about hairdressers, since I was going to ask the same thing. I would not pay $85 for a haircut,even if it was great!. I don't have the funds, but I just wouldnt anyway; that's outrageous!
I was thinking of trying Maffeos, so it's good to see a couple of positive comments here. I have short hair also, and so often when you say "cut it short" they think you mean 1/2 inch....although I can see how they might have been burned in the past; cutting too much off makes people hysterical

btw I don't think the Brian from Superstar Challenge owned his own salon.

Man, I can't imagine paying $85 for a cut....I wish I could.
I have been going to the same person for 14 yrs.... I pay $85 for cut, colour and foils... and I will be going back to Victoria to still get her to do my hair.
Sometimes it is a bad thing, because hair for me is my security blanket, I have thick thick natural wavy hair.... and boy I have had some horrid cuts, when I don't go to her.

I live in Fort McMurray but I'm moving to Nanaimo in two weeks. A couple of weeks ago I got my hair trimmed and coloured and it cost $185...and it looks awful!!! I've lived here for 4 years and never did find a good hairdresser. I'm hoping to find the right one in Nanaimo.

Maffeo Salon is fabulous as I have stated before..super relaxing atmosphere and I found them to be excellent listeners

Yep - $185 for my last cut & foils - I only have an inch and a half of hair!!!! Seemed a little over the top!!!!
