Default Area close to ocean, library, organic foods

This was sent to me via our contact form:

We are hoping to move to Nanaimo and are looking for accommodation. I would like a
    place that is
    1. close to the ocean
    2. close to a grocery store that sells organic goods
    3. close to a library.
    4. close to public transportation.

When I say close I mean walking distance.

If you could tell me which area of Nanaimo I should be looking at it would be really
    helpful.

    Thanks.

I would recommend anything between Milton St and Brechin (the whole area shown on the map below).
The library is downtown, and Thrifty Foods (also downtown) has organic produce.

    Milton St to Brechin, Nanaimo

I am not entirely sure, but I am thinking Dover area may be a good choice. It is among the busiest place in Nanaimo and there are natural and organic food stores, close to beaches and definitely has decent public transportation and most things are within walking distance. The only thing missing is the library but if the family places library at the top of the list then it will have to be either Country Club area or downtown area. There is always pros and cons but since they can fairly easily take enough books out to last them weeks they should have no problem visiting the library say once a week.

    Thanks bamb00,
The person who asked the question contacted me and wanted to communicate her thanks - she says she'll be looking up Dover.

I live in the area that riverrat suggested and it's great. I can see the ocean from my balcony and the library, Thrifty's, the seawall, and, most importantly, Tim Hortons are all a 10 minute walk or less. It seems to me there's a health food store in Port Place mall as well. Charlie Brown's Health Foods? Not sure if it sells organic goods but it's worth a shot.

I'm sure they have organic foods, but it's a small retail store with dry goods, as opposed to being a grocery store - there's no produce section or anything.
