    MOD EDIT: Riverrat here:
There was another thread in these forums that was hijacked from its original topic, and turned into a thread about a browser-based spellchecker or something - I've moved that stuff to here (see below):

Did you know that you can get a program for FREE that will check your spelling in forums such as this one?

Quite often, our spelling is used to determine a lot of things by many different people. Showing a professional image is helpful if a person is to be trusted. Using big words may impress some but fail to impress others. I am turned off by seeing words that I have to look up in the dictionary or use Google for.

    Anyway. . .. . .to the point

ieSpell - Once loaded and you use this forum. . . after typing what you want, move your cursor up to top where it says Message: (just below Title and then RIGHT click . ... one of the options will read " Check Spelling " . .. . . ieSpell options are there also.

How to use Google as a dictionary .. . to find out what dictionary means, type - define: dictionary into Google and . ... . Enter . .. there it is.

Thank you Smokey. Once again you share helpfull information. I am well aware of the impression inacurate spelling presents, and I will see if I can get this going. I downloaded one tool, but it appears I have to type the text in the box and then move it where ever, another process I havn't learned yet. Thankfully I have an office for letters etc with spell check and that helps a lot. I'm going back to see what big miss-spelled perhaps words I have used. In this case, if so it could be due to field specific lingo. Ill try to download this tool, great if it works for me here!

Well I do have some form of it but with the right click and IE spelling options I get a dialog box requiring a license or paid version it appears. I likely downloaded the wrong thing but I am writing a message to see if I can spell check in anyway at all. Well, no I suppose it considers the forum not personal use? Hmmm, well, at least they respect me at work where there is a spellcheck.

    Kickidee:

When you go to ieSpell options, ignore Enter Licence or Buy Now on the FIRST about us tab. . . it does not apply.

Use the tabs at the top to change your language or items on the general tab.

Use Check Spelling on the right click menu.

So I am ignoring the about us tab. I am not getting a check spelling command button anywhere, english is set, Im not sure where in the box I tell it to check the spelling so do you bring up the box from under message and then push O.K. and it will spellcheck? Isn't doing anything. Do not get it. Thanks though, and if this is spelled correctly it is intense concentration or an accident.

After you type a message in the reply box, you right click with your cursor above the message and you should get the picture below.

In message ONE if you click on the link ieSpell, you get to a page and on the left side is Download.

Once you have the ieSpell installed when you get to posting and have finished your post, place your mouse in the window where you typed and right click on your mouse and select ' check spelling '. Using right click outside of the box where you typed will not work.

THIS WORKS WITH INTERNET EXPLORER and does not work with other browsers such as firefox etc.
