    Default Canned Gourmet Clams

Somebody asked me this via email:
My Dad is 85 years old and fondly remembers eating canned Gourmet Clams (no baby clams) from Nanaimo, British Columbia. I have gone to several grocery stores in Edmonton, Alberta, and all I can find is baby clams. Have you heard about these clams? If so, do you have any idea where I could purchase them in Edmonton?
Lessee, the only canned seafood I know of ever having left Nanaimo, would be from St Jean's Cannery. But I don't recall seeing that exact product. They have these whole butter clams:

    Currently $3.15 per 110g can

you could dig yourself at Jack Point or Pipper Lagon..
    when it's low tire.
    go home and make yourself.

don't worry about red tide.... but although it's probably because i am an asian, we eat anything moves...:-)

i haven't done that for a long time , clams and oyster here in Nanaimo are great.

i could easily give you 4--5 ways of cooking.

one day if i lose my job, i am not going to suffer from hunger, just eat whatever on the beach.
when crisis strikes, there are always opportunities in the hood.
