it would be found on the west facing slope the one you see when your driving on the island highway, it's right above the lake that englishman river starts at.

    Question:

Whats with the wierd rock circle with trolls and army men all over it? It was kinda creepy to stumble on, especially after stumbling on a rock pentagram at Witchcraft lake 2 days earlier......

Anyway, good to hear from you.
The wreckage that I found is, in my opinion, clearly from a plane. But it was not at the 1200ft level. It was closer to 1600-1700 ft. I'll attach pictures of what I found, but there really wasn't much. In fact, if you laid all the pieces out, they'd cover about 4 sqft of ground. I have heard rumors that there is a large piece of the fusilage up there, but I have yet to see it. I have a bit of reason to think that if I hiked off the trail and straight up the side a bit farther, I might find more. But one of the pieces at the site I found was crumpled and burned, which leads me to believe that it was in the plane crash site after impact, whereas the rest of the pieces could have been scattered shrapnel.
I would be happy to take you there, unfortunately I'm leaving town for six weeks starting monday. So it won't be for a while. sorry, man.

I found a peice of what i assume is a drive shaft for the propeller. It looks as though the second picture is a similair mechanism. So far no one has posted a picture of the peice i found so i will take my camera up and add to the collection!
