From 1964 to 2010, there have only been twenty Vancouver Island Amateur Boxing Champions
- the three from Nanaimo are: MIKE MURRAY, GILLES NEPPER and BRIAN ZELLEY
SOOKE AMATEUR BOXING CLUB Revived
Good news for Vancouver Island boxing is the recent revival of the Sooke Amateur Boxing Club which
is hoping for competition with the Nanaimo Boxing Club in the future.
