Found the landlord, lives in Alberta, talked to him....says he will boot them out if they continue, they are month to month tennants. Told him the yard looks like crap and people came and cleaned up the place today. Seems like a good guy, said he would read them the riot act. All has been quiet for three days now, hope it lasts.

I'm glad you were able to track him down and he sounds like a much more reasonable landlord than the homeowner here was. Our new renters are fantastic, quiet, nice family. Funnily enough the homeowner tried to get the new renters to park in the non parking spot I complained about, and the new renters saw right away that it would block us in so they refuse to park there. The new renters also said both sets of homes are nowwhere near as awful as the homeowner said we were....imagine that. lol
post their adress, someone will fix them.
Finally I found this thread, that’s what international students were talking about. They told us about these redneck people in Nanaimo hate Arabs.
I am just telling you the story, don’t shoot the massager. Many arabs heard story like this, was shock and dislike redneck town like Nanaimo, so they move to big cities.
Did you wonder why Saudi students stop coming to VIU? Because this hospital area story was past one to others, how international students were discriminated. even none arabs like us know the story now.
Words on the street is, white people in Nanaimo are jealous to Saudis, they always try to fight colour people in downtown. This is just another classic example.
Because redneck people like you? VIU lost tons of revenue, same as retail industry, that’s why Nanaimo will always be a white town..which is good for indian or asian, because it means more business oppoprtunities for us...lol..cuz you people are not going to work on weekend or after 4pm, but have time to complain... so we are happy.

i was so pissed yesterday when other saudi students told me about how old people in Nanaimo tried to sue them for money grabbing, they walk in downtown at night, groups of rednecks called them terrorists and want to fight..you redneck people don't derseve to be called "liberal", just so uncanadian, don't even welcome international students...
without them, your house is still worth nothing. your weflare cheque will be much less.
Well sounds like your good friends may have shown some disrespect for other people's property. Color or not: has nothing to do with keeping respectful. Money does not give anyone the right to step beyond the boundaries beyond respect and proper conduct.
Just think about it. Maybe the light bulb will go on for you?!
