This was back in the winter, up on Westwood Ridge.

I REALLY need to check out extension ridge.. Especially for that Booby tree! Looks like a beautiful place. Do you have any not-so-close-up pictures of the general area? I'd like to see more!
No, I don't have broad pictures of Extension Ridge. But <--that link will take you to a thread with more photos of the place, including the abyss itself.

...........lol..........
Oh... I wish I had a picture of the wonderful Arbutus I saw at Beachcomber park in Nanoose. Anyone know the tree in question? It is the biggest Arbutus I have ever seen.
....I know that Arbudus Point just passed Beachcomber has a mass of cool trees there, we used to scuba dive of the point. Got a lot of friction from the jerks that bought property near there and they tried to close the trail off from anyone passing on the way to the beach. You know how rich folk can be sometimes, they think they own the highwater tide mark, but we know they don't......
Here's a real big guy (I wish the picture communicated that better). It's on Newcastle Island, north of the old Japanese cannery site (across from BC Ferries).
