Today I took dpill on the Harewood Mines Tour. We went and saw the 2 slopes and the air shaft that seaman and I saw last weekend. The plan was to see the mines, hike up to the trail and end at the same spot on the cliff we saw last weekend.

I couldn't seem to find the exact location seamman and I were at, so we settled for a different spot at the edge of a cliff. On the way we passed 2 rock formations looking like they may have been used for some kind of ritual, the second looking like a maze of some sort.

We proceeded to a nearby cliff and took a break. It looked like an intersting spot down below, so we slid down the cliff on our stomach, feet first. Down below we found the most intersting spot, possibly related to coal mining. We found entrances of some kind, almost cave-like. But they almost seemed man-made, taking us underground. The most amazing place, never knew it existed until now. Inside one of the tunnels was a small bat. It was sleeping, just a little furry guy. We tried to photograph him, but the pictures wouldn't take.

Dpill has some photos to post later on, it seemed like paradise, so much to explore. I think some of those spots are related to coal mining, but I can't say for sure. It sure felt like we were in a mine....

Was the maze in a kind of circular shape--as in, you start at the beginning, you walk in towards the centre with each circle smaller than the one before, and the only way out is to turn around and come out the way you went in?

The maze is a bit different than that its too bad we didnt get a picture! The entrance and exit start parralel with each other. You can walk through the whole thing and you end up where you started but instead of a maze it more or less takes you on a goose chase! Uploading the pics now!
