Just including a link to the Extension Ridge page which has some more info and links (since it's a big topic right now).

By the way, this whole forum could be lost in a server meltdown and as long as this thread was safe, I'd remain content.

    Thanks Gerry!
I agree with you completely! One of these days i would like to save all the pictures out of this thread and copy them into a photo gallery! Its such a popular topic that its hard to remember where to look!

went back to where GR74 and I went on a wild goose chase the other day, from nanaimo lake rd it's only 10 or so minutes back there, I found the elusive Vancouver slopes the the logging had everything covered up but I found a huge slack pile in the unlogged forest right behind the entrances, then theres this huge slack pile in the logging zone, so we were just around the corner on that logging road the other day when we turned back. Also found the chambers mine out behind the old no 1 slope. Still need to find the Beban mine out there, it's too bad the logging is really destroying these spots.

So did you find the actual entrances?

just what I think are entrances, they are using the bottom of that little rock outcropping for a log dump there was one spot for sure they had ripped these huge roots out and had them sitting over what I think was an entrance, and there would be three other slope entrances along there so it will be good to go back, maybe roast some marshmellows

Too bad we didn't see the fan the other day. Kind of hard to look around the area when they are logging there. I might head out on Saturday to see what else is out there.
