Our last event on Vancouver Island hosted a record crowd with close to 3000 fans attending the show. Vancouver Island has always been known for its fight fans, and the evolution of combat King of the Cage, has arrived.

Interesting, but is a cage necessary?

Makes it like a toss-up between a B grade Hollywood movie and Pro Wrestling
exhibitions.

At least the matches are a step above the "So You Wanna Fight" or "Tough Guy Fights"

The cage is absolutely necessary for the sport i
of mixed martial arts. The cage signifigantly reduces the referee's impact on the outcome of the match, and makes it impossible for athletes to accidentally fall out of the ring (which I have personally witnessed on more than a few occasions in MMA matches in a ring).

The established standard for Professionally Sanctioned Mixed Martial Arts is a round or octogan shaped cage. Our cage is 30 feet in diameter, allowing for the athletes to use every element of their martial arts training.

I am glad you appreciate our matchmaking. We take our line ups seriously and expect the crowd to be very impressed by the level of talent they will witness of Friday May 8th, 2009. The line up on our next event ISLAND PRIDE is the best we have ever put together.
