    That's a good question. I have never seen one, and I have read a ton of books on Nanaimo history.

    Is this rock formation identifiable or can anyone make a "best guess" as to where this photo may have been taken? This was on a Nanaimo fishing trip in the early 1940s.

    I'm inclined to think somewhere on Gabriola... but that's just an uninformed guess from viewing photos on the web.

    There are also spots on Snake Island that look like that, and Duke Point.
