Cool, fitz.
Yeah, that was, what, BESIDE the Global Connections coffee house, or maybe that WAS the same building? I'm not sure.
Anyone know what the plan is for that property? Crews have been tearing down those old buildings for a couple months....

Insight (the Longwood Station developers) are building a condo tower there. There is a model of it in the Insight offices. I believe it is about 14 or 15 stories high.
If you go back to the photo gallery (your link was broken), you will notice the pictures are set up as a panorama view.
The Port Theatre and bear are more to the (left) North, the Beacon (Cameron Island Tower) are more to the (right) south, the museum slightly more forward and north and the conference centre would be on the far side of the bridge in that photo. I love your idea of the photos being taken from what is now the front lawn of city hall. Makes sense.
What I wouldn't give to go back in time and do a little hike around "town". I'd check out Nob Hill and the Millstream Estuary, the ridge that is now Machleary and Pine Streets ...![]()
That "time travel" .gif is definitely amazing - thanks Smokey.

Anyone know how to break an animated gif into its component stills?
