Someone just called me and said not to leave the house as apparently there is an armed standoff happening near the hospital - shots fired, SWAT team, etc. Anyone know the details?

It was a block away from my house and the next yard behind my friend's house, she has swat stationed in her backyard, the police had our street blocked off. I heard gunfire around 1-1:30 ish but thought it was a car backfiring. Scary stuff. Thanks goodness the wife is ok and there were no children involved.

when crisis strikes, there are always opportunities in the hood.
That is scary. Good to hear the wife is ok, and that no children were hurt too. Fortunately the standoff didn't cost any officers their lives too, just like what happened in Oakland, California recently.
