Default Looking to buy old school rail dragster rolling chassis

yuppers it is time to put all our engine parts to-gether so we ( Strazza Family Racing), can build a ole' school digger for the drag strip.....we would prefer a rolling chassis or something close to it....even a rear engine frame will do too......call me anytime on my cell # 250-619-4408 if you've seen something we could use.......thanx.....Stanley Strazza and family.

hey Tenspot....I plan on biulding or buying a rollin' rail chassis for the hemi....I'll be putting a chevy mouse motor in the red 32' Ford coupe just to get it rollin' then I want to go old school with a midified Ford Flathead engine for draggin' it.....the Deuce coupe that I had save from the thieves for my nephew has been pick-up by him and taken to Edmonton for a complete rebiuld.....yeeehhaaaa!......so Tenspot, keep your eyes peeled for any kind of pre-biult rail dragster for me....front engine or rear it don't matter.....cheers!....strazza family racin'

    Default A really good read...

    Stan,

You are definitely my kinda guy...I love the ol' iron and the thought of a peppy little flattie in the Coupe is definitely the way to go....(although a mouse motor with a bevy of Strombergs on an Offy intake ala John Milner would be cool too : )

What kinda Hemi are you putting in you planned "rail job"? Personally as much as I really love the old school, this is where I'd go more modern ala Garlits and go rear motor....Slingshots have the true sixties aura, but having all that horsepressure and driveline right in front (and under) you is just a little too scary for my liking.....

I'm currently reading a book from the library titled " High Performance, The Culture and Technology of Drag Racing 1950 - 1970" ...fascinating book, great detail about the technological and structural changes in the sport (and industry) of drag racing during this period....

    Cheers,
    Al

I have a 52' Dodge " Fire Dome " 331 cu. in. Hemi and also know where there is another 57' Chrysler " Fire Power " Hemi is at, that could be made available....yuppers I do love that old school Garlits stuff.....I would consider going to a rear engine application as well if I cannot find a old school digger.......cool stuff for sure.....and still a back yarder kinda guy ya' know.........cheers! yogi bear............stan the man
