Believe it or not, McDonald's makes a good brew, and it only costs me $1.00 with endless refills.

I've heard their coffee has really improved. And is affordable with refills too. It wasn't all that long ago, their coffee was much maligned, and didn't agree with me. Wouldn't be adverse to giving it a second chance.

very recently, found myself out and about and in desperate need of a coffee fix (NOT something that happens often, by the way) and decided to try Macdonald's as it was handy, and there'd been much made of how improved their coffee was now (which wouldn't of been very difficult), and found to my suprise that it was quite good...not that I'm a great judge of coffee... since to my friends disgust, I find ice caps totally addictive...((blushing)). It was a nice cup of coffee though...so it was something of a shock to me...Macdonalds making something that tasted GOOD?...amazing!

Somebody told me that they switched to a brand called "Seattle's Best Coffee" so that might be it. Must be just in North America, I think, 'tho. But when I was told that, it explained why I was having a little more trouble finding SBC, which I think is the best coffee around, in supermarkets.

You could be right about the sbc, I've been drinking melita coffee for years now...only drink anything else at other peoples places and/or at cafes and restaurants. (does macdonalds count as either of those last 2 do you think?)
hmmn...come to think of it, am more likely to drink tea when away from home...lol

Seattle's Best Coffee is very good. I have had it on both sides of the border, and when in the U.S. I had it in you guessed it Seattle. I never get to McDonald's for coffee, but with the improved coffee a trip there for coffee isn't such a bad thing.

have to admit that it was a pleasant suprise to me to find the coffee so tasty...normally macdonalds is a place i avoid at all costs...but at least the coffee is now drinkable...so will probably drop by now and then...when the urge for coffee is unberable that is...

I don't get to McDonald's or fast food restaurants often. Gone to more of a healthier diet now. With the coffee improving, McDonald's may not be so bad.

I go if I have coupons for them, or the only sensible option is them, or another fast food place. Others cooking, or healthier options at the grocery store work better.
