All ages music concerts, I can't thank you enough for your support and all the help you gave before and during the buskers festival. It was a total success and I was scrambling to make sure everyone got a chance to show their talents. It was a lot of work but it was worth it and I'm ready to prepare for the next buskers festival. I got the chance today to view some amazing Nanaimo talent even Nanaimo webmasters Morgan Carey got up to do a couple of songs in support of the buskers. And a special tribute from drum maker Steve with Nanaimo first nations people just made my day.

I too have to say thankyou to All Ages and family.I cannot believe that people came out in the rain!
I saw community at work today.
Piper you were amazing! You worked so hard! I felt so bad leaving you with the last hour but i had to do the gig.
Not one person got paid today. No taxpayer had to put out any money today for a six hour show.THAt is community!I just got finished packing up my gear after the Red Martini Grill and I am so wiped! I am the happiest person in Nanaimo right now. Music is the greatest gift. I have the best family a mother could wish for. To see my sons play music and give to their community is a gift. to have my brother and his children and his wife give so much is a gift.

    ROCK ON!

Our family puts our thumbs up to The Beat of The Street Society that formed in support of the buskers. You could not have made a wiser decision to put forth the Woodstock West Festival, that was held on Sept 5/09. Rain/shine-- it went forward and was a great seed planted. By next year it will be huge!

Those that missed the awesome unheard talent will have every opportunity to hear it again. Doors open and close, the buskers' doors have been opened in Nanaimo because of you.

    Amen to that!
Piper will post on this thread or the BUSKING thread about total monies collected etc.
We lost money but we gained a number of new friends and brought buskers together with the community. That was the goal.

I don't think you need to post the monies collected. That is the society's business and the reporting agency that you report to.
