It is so easy to get Kenning mixed up with Henning due to the magic tricks I see in the reasoning that we will get an Acting City Manager and that the other senior managers will be expected to be deputy city managers when Al says to. Ummmm .. . .City Manager is not that easy of a postion to fill, yet not at a moments notice.
(Doug Henning was a magician from Canada that passed away in 2000)
So we have to inherit someone, (and Al may be great I dont know) or cant we just look for the best wo(man) for the job?
Well if you like Jerry and his management it is all good. The boys below will know how it was done.
But do we want it how it was done, and does council?
Or do you think there will be changes?
Is the man below really able to take this over?
Noticed that the discussion in this thread includes the name of the Deputy City Manager, (Al Kenning). Wasn't a General Manager of Corporate Services, (Doug Holmes), hired a couple of years ago?

Statement of Financial Information for the Year Ended December 31, 2008 indicates the following:
Holmes’ Remuneration and Expenses were $165,647 and $12,286 respectively Harrison’s Remuneration and Expenses were $96,719 and $3,958 respectively.
I am unsure of the hiring dates, however I did find this information useful.

Berry's package to be announced tomorrow
Well the news room at the Daily is a buzz with speculation about what Mr. Berry will be receiving though I see the reputable Bulletin has word out first:
I speculate that the buy out to be announced tomorrow will include 24 months pay, an additional 4 months of unused holiday pay and full benefits for the 24 month period. Total cost about $550,000.
Joan and Ian were hired to replace Jim Bowden so we added costs here as Jim was doing the job of two.

So Joan Harrison is stil there?
