....we all see them everywhere right.....I need to get rid of them for my scrap hauling clients....it is a shame to take them to the chipper at Dukes Point, garbage dump or the Recycling Depot.....they all charge way to much to dump them.....so, I though as I am near those piles of wooden pallets on a daily basis, why not give them to folks who could use them for firewood......five bucks or so for gas is not unreasonable don't you think...........stan the man
......uh huh!....and we are saving the world right....something that I do every day.......stan the man
Very generous of you!
This brought to mind the info that is located on the home page of the City's website right now about Burn It Smart workshops. Consideration has to be given to the lungs of the "burners" and their immediate neighbours, as well! We know the story about tobacco smoke and the rights of non-smokers ... the same applies regarding the smoke that is produced from other stuff that people burn! Unfortunately, all too often, that is forgotten.

Food, warmth and shelter
Air quality is a luxury that not everyone can afford. Not everyone has the financial ability to keep warm and stay green. They can only do what they can with what they have.
It sounds kind of callous and not very "green" but when your life depends on keeping yourself and your children warm, then sometimes green has to take a back seat.
I'm just sayin

....as the logging of the forest leaves tons of short wood chunks behind you would think that the powers to be would let those folks that could and would clean it up using the firewood that they so desparately need.....however, the wooden pallets are the only form of cheap wood to those needing to warm themselves.....and that kind of wood is usually free for them to pick-up.....I only want to help them out with that need........stan the man
