Have never tried The Golden Inn, where is that located??
it is located near the Wellington cold beer and wine store
wow!!
I had forgotten all about that place, have never been there, I will have to try it out!!
Thanks!
You can get Steamed Pork Buns at Man Lee Grocery in Terminal Park. They are frozen, but the great thing is that you take them home, drop them in your steamer for a few min, and you have the same pork buns served at restaurants!
Man Lee's also has great frozed Dim Sum - just steam it!

I prefer Hong Kong House or Shanghai City. Shanghai city I like a little better, but either one works.
I find myself going to the Mandarin House on 4th St. a lot just because they have a Smorgasboard-to-go, where you get a dish thingy and take as much as it can hold. I always overflow it and they don't say anything and I usually get 2 meals out of it so it's a good deal![]()
One of the best places i've found is Dover Chinese. They don't deliver too much farther south than Country Club mall but it really quality and the pieces of meat aren't hard little turds like many places.
My favorite chinese cuisine is definately Shangai City. I have always liked it there, because I love the way they cook their prawns. Also, they have great variety and I find that they have made some improvements since my last visit.
They also have mussels there another favorite of mine. I guess you could say that I am a seafood funatic. The service is great as well, there are some waitresses that are not on the ball though. Overall, I'd have to recommend this restaurant.
I love Hong Kong House! They have great food and it is always busy thereYou can order off their menu and order authentic Chinese food as well, i recommend their Cantonese chow mein or their hot pots.
I heard Shanghai City got shut down for a few days due to health inspections...
I like the Ginger Chicken at Dover Bay Chinese.. Its really good. At Shanghai city i really like the Beef Chow Fun... and overall i like Golden Inn.. it seems less oily and stuff... still wish there was a "real" chinese food restaurant somewhere around here that served live fish and seafood..
Is there really no such place? I'd always assumed that though all the places serve American-Chinese food, they must also have something authentic on the menus that are only given to those who request it, or something. Because you'd think that some of the restaurants' owners would eat traditionally at home, and therefore COULD prepae stuff for those who want it. Maybe you have to call ahead and speak in Manadarin or Cantonese.Originally Posted by corwin99
By the way, had a noodle bowl at Armani's - had tofu - it was awesome. Ten bucks and it was huge, too.
