    Hey, Flugel Horn, we will have to start wearing identification tags. I was there too and would have liked to meet you.

    Yes, it was a touching event. At that time the 150 mortalities represented 4% of the population. In a city that size, and in those times, I would assume everyone knew eachother either directly or indirectly.

    Mining is a significant part of Nanaimo's history so it is important to recognize the sacrifices that others made to establish what we have here today.

    Don't forget to go to the Nanaimo museum and see the Temporary Mining Display.
