Location of Girl Murdered and incinerated 80's?

Who remembers that girl who was killed in the eighties and the guy cut her up and burned her remains. I've looked around for information on this murder to no avail. I was pretty young, but I remember finding out about it back then. I grew up in the westwood lake area and I had some belief that this took place in the area I lived. If anyone remembers part of the story would be interesting to hear. I'd really like to find out where this happened in town.

Nurse Lisa Clark worked at Trillium Lodge in Parksville.

She was murdered by Kevin James Arkell.

going north turn right off jingle pot road onto westwood lake road and about halfways down the hill on the right is were it occured. just up from the small orchard. the owner of which would probably know more about it.

Interesting that you would bring this up. I knew & partied with the girl for a brief , very brief time. I also was acquainted with the fella that was convicted of her murder. I cannot, for the life of me remember his last name, but I will, tomorrow after I ask some questions!! She was found, as far as I remember, on a property on Jingle Pot Rd, northern part near Andre Rd area etc. I was in my 20,s at the time & it was pretty disgusting what he did to her.I will know more tomorrow! He , by the way, served his full sentence, as far as I know, & is on the streets today!!

whoa guys, I know that little orchard well, there's a gully that runs from close to jingle pot b&w down to the orchard there is a pond in there and there used to be a huge piece of foam we'd float around on so this is right around where ryan is talking about, I know that area like the back of my hand half way down the road used to be treed back then it was logged about 20 years ago, that's nuts, I thought it was back on top by neen rd by the old power station, thanks alot for the info!

As far as I know, Kevin is still in jail and I believe the location of the murder was close to the general area of Twiggly Wiggly or more east towards Mill Road between Westwood Lake and Jingle Pot Road. It was not on the north side of Jingle Pot Road because that part was not closed to traffic during the investigation and the coroners visit to the area when he investigated the death of Lisa.

I lived on dawkins ln, backing twiggly wiggly, that mill road area is kind of where I thought it was too, there is a little dirt road at the top of ashlee that carries on across mill and the guy up there didn't like anyone around up there rumour was he'd shoot you with rock salt if you went down there, if you follow it through you get to neen and there's an old foundation up there that as kids I always had a feeling it was the spot but it's likely not, does anyone know if this happened at a personal residence or in the bush? thanks Smokey!
