Thread: Haunted Places in Nanaimo

    Default westwood rd.

Does anyone know the history behind the barn on westwood road with the boarded up house? Me and a two people went into this place and had to get in it through the crawl space and a hole in the floor. It made me feel emotionless in this place and a feeling of desperation and i was wondering what the deal with this place is.

    Default The Beach

An experience ive had, is at a beach near those new houses. You take a path called "Seabold" and it takes you to a road full of new houses. Its next to lantzville. You walk down and there is a feild like thing and a dark entrance surrounded by tree's to the stairs.I have gone there and i cant explain the feeling. I felt... unwanted. Something or someone didnt want me there. Its like i was being watched. My friends had noticed it too. I then came home, and my mom had said shes had the same feeling. And when you sit, and your real quote you always hear bushes move, even when its not windy or anything.

    Google Map It

search for the beach yourself and head up there sometime.
and let me know what you think. It seems very creepy down there.

Haha Mason you're on here too!

That house on Strickland is horrible. Whatever is in there is pissed off apparently. I felt like I was panicking and had to run for it. We didn't go past the pillars cos we could feel something there watching us.

grrreat thread - i love this creepy stuff.
after reading bout the house on strickland, i went for a gander in my car. maybe it was the lack of caffeine in my body, but i couldn't track down a property with white pillars, creepy vibe, etc.
Granted, the last post in regards to the property was a while back.
wondering if anyone knows if the 'creepy strickland house' is still kicking around?

The house referred to is at the extreme south end of Strickland. I believe there is a No Trespassing sign on the entrance to the property.

    Hi Everyone,
There is a Halloween ghost walk on CD so people can do it at their leisure when it suits their schedule. I have identified 8 places of interest downtown and reseached the history that may help illuminate who is haunting each site.

Gather a few friends and pop the CD in your music player or download to your cell phone orIPod and walk (or drive) the less than 1 km loop to discover which historic downtown buildings contain spirits and ghosts.

Learn how the Flying Dutchman, (a member of Butch Cassidy’s gang), Brother XII (the leader of Canada’s largest cult), an 1868 axe murderer and others have revealed their presence. Your guides explore the history behind each building to help explain who they are and why they linger in the physical realm."

You can still buy the CD's at Lobelia's Lair in the old City Quarter and at Central Drugs on Bowen and Northfield Rd for $10.

Hi there, The place burnt down a few months ago. I suspect the work of our local crackheads.
