I attended a Ron James stand-up comedy performance at the Port last night. Thought I'd got things figured out so that there would be few stairs to maneuvre. Wrong. Faced with about fifteen steps to go down, and I don't see steps. I'd barely even hesitated, trying to figure out how I was going to manage this, and there was an usher right there--"Would you like some help?" Oh boy, would I ! Thanks so much, Port Theatre volunteers. BTW, two hours of non-stop stand-up. He's doing a second performance tonight (April 14). Next time he's in town, I'll be first in line. Absolutely fantastic performer! Never stopped laughing. Truly. I'll be watching his TV show from now on.
