Do your fruit trees produce more than you can use? The Community Garden can help!

Nanaimo Community Garden Society offers a wonderful program for those who have gardens that produce more than they need. Or, for those who have fruit trees that don't harvest any of the fruit - don't let it go to waste!

The garden will send a gleaning team to your home to pick your fruit and veggies to use at the local food banks and for you!

Check it out and if you have any fruit or veggies growing that you won't need, please register =)

Imagine a huge fruit stand sale in support of all funds going to the food banks-ex.- an apple by donation. Distribute before it spoils! I am sure their would be sponsors out their to give away coupons for buying/donating funds for the fruit. A win win situation for all!
