Large-Pet Friendly Mobile Home Parks/Condos/Townhomes?

My husband and I are hoping to purchase a home in Nanaimo (ideally near VIU) next summer. We have very limited funds right now so will probably be looking for something small and older - maybe something in a mobile home park? The problem we are having is that we also have two large dogs (Labradors) that are like our children. The dogs are very well trained, quiet house-dogs but we cannot seem to find anywhere that allows dogs over 25-30 pounds. Does anyone know if there are places that we could buy (under $125,000) in or around Nanaimo that allow large dogs? Thank you.

Use MLS to search for mobiles & condos. I don't think you will find much for under $125,000

Just stumbled across this now.

Large dogs in a strata are tough. There are a couple of buildings in town that will let you do it, but they're all quite a bit more than 125k. Mobiles are your best bet, but keep in mind that you expect to pay a pad fee of at least $300 per month on top of what you're paying for the mobile itself. (There are cheaper ones as well as more expensive ones too.)

If you haven't done so already, the thing to do is to talk to a mortgage broker to find out what is affordable for you. You may find that something you thought was out of reach is in fact within reach or vice versa. Either way, what you end up with is a plan. And that's a good thing right?
