Capacitors and other electronic components

I need some 1µF capacitors, and would rather not wait for my next trip to Vancouver. Is there any place in Nanaimo to buy them?

We live in a wasteland as far as electronic supplies go; electronic supply shops seem to be as rare as hen's teeth. If you can't get it from The Source then I suppose it's down Queale Electronics in Victoria. If you ever need larger capacitors then call local motor shops.

...Has to be 1 micro-farad, eh? Salvage is an option but there are no guarantees on what you'll get and you might have to change your circuit design to suit what you can get...if it's for repair then it's a matter of chance.

I just remembered: Maybe you could call Solar Electric on Cliff Street. I actually bought a capacitor from them once!

Thanks very much! Sure 'nough, I was able to redesign the circuit to use what's lying around. But it's also nice to know that Solar's in the neighbourhood.
