Bridal Hair for Wedding in Summer 2011

Hi all,

I am fairly new to Nanaimo and will be getting married here next summer. I am looking for somewhere to get my hair done. I also have 3 bridesmaids and my mom who would like their hair done too.

Can anyone recommend a good hair salon? Perhaps one that also does make up?

I just moved here a few months ago myself, and my hair was a disaster. Some of the girls on the forum suggested the maffeo salon. Not only was i pleased with the results, but i've got ladies visiting from the mainland who saw how great my hair turned out, and made appointments to get theirs done while visiting me. I don't know if they do make-up, but if they don't, i would feel confident about any recommendations they might pass along.

I just got married in July 2010 and my bridal party and I all got our hair done at Maffeo Salon. I loved it. They did such great job and its nice and relaxed there so it's a good place where the ladies can all get ready the morning of. We also took a bunch of pics outside of the salon along the red walls and they turned out beautiful. And they have a deal that it you get the brides hair and the bridemaids I think the flower girl is free!!! You can check out some of the pics online if yu want at their website. Good Luck!

I went to Maffeos last summer for my wedding and it was wonderful! They treated us like royalty! We were greeted with beautiful muffin and fruit platters and the whole staff was wonderful. You can even arrange to have champagne there! It was a wonderful stress-free way to start off the day, and everyone's hair was GORGEOUS! I know that they also do makeup if you are looking for that as well.
