I applaude these people not only for the very hard work they have accomplished but the awareness they have brought forward.

Also this land was so stripped of its soils that they did wonders beyond thought. Anyone thinking they did it with ease have no idea of what they are talking about.
I am sure it was not done with ease but you bring in dump trucks of soil, level it out and plant, not rocket science and this is only a couple of acres. This guy is the Agr critic for the green party and he does not even check on the zoning. I was not impressed by his comments to the media regarding the zoning. Disappointing, I am sure anyone would be upset with being shut down but in a position of responsibility people expect a bit more of formality. If he cannot even handle the zoning in his own yard how would he ever manage agr for the province?

For whatever thoughts; I am from the old school. I am not a *no brainer* but a realistic of what yesterday had going for it and how it should still apply today. Society really needs to focus on this example; before communities really lose control of what we as people; have a right to live and do in a democratic life; as we are suppositively allowed to live with healthy choices.

So sorry to say but in the good old days we did less harm to ourselves THAN WE DO TODAY.

In the old days we ate dirt and survived and yet today we call it **** and then turn our heads.

Default I agree that it is a good example, exceptions should be made.

I agree that it is a good example, exceptions should be made for this type of operation. How it is presented makes a great difference, a bit of diplomacy could bring him a massive amount of support. I wonder if sometimes the green party is just a bit too sensitive and reactive and in doing so lose support that might have been there otherwise. There would seem to be some alternate solutions such as forming a co-op for goods exchange or community farming such as in the UK that would allow him to continue or even expand the operation. It seems a modest request to be allowed to sell produce you grow on your own property but sometimes the law allows for other options ending in the same result.
