Default European, German stores in Nanaimo??

Hey everyone. I'm new to Nanaimo and I'm looking for a good European or German speciality food store. Does anyone know of any in town?? Thank you.

I don't know about any places that are specifically German, but I would check out these:

Well, beeing a german, I can tell you that none of the above mentioned stores are really selling german stuff, nor are they really european. All the stuff they are selling is "adjusted" to meet the canadian/ North American taste. Your best bet for german food in Nanaimo is Columbia Bakery on Bowen Rd. And that's about it. If you are looking for Schinkenspeck or Cheese, I can recommend MacLeans.
My personal "No-Go" areas as a german looking for food from home/europe is the Nanaimo Bakery and Nellies Dutch Deli.

And to add to what Jeff said, we have also found out that the big liquor store at country club has a pretty good selection of German beers. And I know this crazy guy who might be a good source for Hirschkuss soon too!
